Hi! My name is Kary Dunham and I am the owner and designer at Techie Muse. I want to provide my 20+ years expertise in technology and design so you can spend less time doing the things you don’t want to do, and more time doing what you do best, motivating and inspiring others! Throughout my varied career I have been an art therapist, art teacher, multimedia and design teacher, technology trainer, web and graphic designer, and e-learning developer. I received my B.A. in Fine Arts and M.S. in Art Therapy. When I moved to NYC almost 25 years ago, I started taking classes at The School of Visual Arts in graphic design, illustration, typography and page layout.

Computers and technology came into my life over 20 years ago when I taught myself how to use Adobe Photoshop. I was instantly hooked. Eventually I also taught myself how to use programs for multimedia, digital video and audio editing. I also became very interested in web design and earned a certification as a web master over 13 years ago. This led to working as a part-time freelancer in web and graphic design for many years.

I earned a Master Technology Teacher (MTT) certification, and after several years teaching high school multimedia, I moved to the district level to train teachers how to integrate technology into their classroom. It was about this time that I started hearing about blogging, podcasts and Web 2.0, and trained others how to use these technologies.

After 20+ years as an educator, I decided to change careers to work as an eLearning developer. For several years I worked in the IT department of the largest school district in the U.S. and a Fortune 50 company developing 100s of online trainings.

Now my desire is to take everything I’ve learned and experienced over many years, and lend my extensive technology and design expertise to speakers, authors, coaches and professional bloggers.
